*HERE BE SPOILERS*

I think the reason Nolan had his first name as Robin as opposed to it being an alias is because he wanted the character to be an amalgamation of all the Robins. I don’t know about Damien but Dick’s father was called John, Dick did time as a beat cop and when Bruce was presumed dead Dick took over as Batman, which I guess is what the ending implies will happen with Blake. Both Dick and Jason were orphans. Jason’s mother died of a drugs OD, and his father was killed by the mob, which I think is similar to what happened to John’s parents if I remember correctly. And Tim deduced Batman’s identity, like John did.  

I loved the way they implied throughout the film that John would take over as Batman in Bruce’s absence. Anyone else pick up on Bruce’s little pieces of advice to him throughout- ‘if you’re working alone you should use an alias’, ‘you should wear a mask to protect those around you’ etc.?
