This has GOT to be on purpose, knowing Nolan.

The first gif is from Batman Begins, when Bruce knows that he needs to step up to be Gotham’s hero but is still figuring out how exactly to do just that. To me it’s a symbol of how fragile Batman can be if the man under the mask isn’t up to the job.

I think the second gif reflects that- once again Bruce knows that Gotham needs a Batman but having left the cowl behind years ago he isn’t in the right state to do the job, and this results in Bane breaking him- both physically (his back) and metaphorically (his mask).

In both cases Bruce goes on a journey to gain his integrity and this makes him stronger, allowing him to defeat the League of Shadows.

The Dark Knight Rises

okay so this is a tad delayed since I saw it on Friday night but nonetheless DARK KNIGHT RISES WAS FRICKIN AWESOME FUCKING ASJJFNJFNJNRNHJVNJ YES PERFECTION I CAN’T EVEN AJAJDJDHVURFNFVKIKD BEST BATMAN MOVIE EVER WAIT NO MAKE THAT BEST MOVIE EVER I MEAN YES AVENGERS WAS MINDBLOWINGLY GOOD BUT I THINK THIS ONE CLINCHES IT OKAY I’LL STOP WITH CAPS LOCK

Where do I start? Christian Bale is like the sexiest man ever, what with his slicked back hair and fine suits and chiseled handsome features and whatnot, but especially as Batman! :’)
I loved Anne Hathaway as Catwoman! They never actually referred to her as ‘Catwoman’ but they called her a ‘cat burglar’ and there were several references to cats and she had the cat ears and mask so I’ll let them off with it. The costume was brilliant, it was very sexy but not revealing like it is in the comic books:

She was a really bad-ass character, her various stunts and fight scenes were awesome, I especially loved the one on the roof with Batman.
Bane was really fuckin’ creepy, Tom Hardy portrayed him perfectly, he terrified the shit out of me! He seemed to be intimidating even to Batman so I was very impressed with Hardy’s acting. Again the fighting was amazing, I loved the reference to Knightfall (I’ll say no more about that).
Music set the tone perfectly, hats up to Hans Zimmer. There were a lot of twists in the story, especially the end! Seriously, it blew my mind. I cried a LOT.
That bit with Alfred and him crying and :’(

Anyway yes, I recommend this film highly. Nolan somehow managed to top The Dark Knight.
