I think Scott Lobdell just wants his 2 main characters to be best friends because they’re his now and he will do whatever he wants with them regardless of any backstory whatsoever.

I think the reason Nolan had his first name as Robin as opposed to it being an alias is because he wanted the character to be an amalgamation of all the Robins. I don’t know about Damien but Dick’s father was called John, Dick did time as a beat cop and when Bruce was presumed dead Dick took over as Batman, which I guess is what the ending implies will happen with Blake. Both Dick and Jason were orphans. Jason’s mother died of a drugs OD, and his father was killed by the mob, which I think is similar to what happened to John’s parents if I remember correctly. And Tim deduced Batman’s identity, like John did.  

I loved the way they implied throughout the film that John would take over as Batman in Bruce’s absence. Anyone else pick up on Bruce’s little pieces of advice to him throughout- ‘if you’re working alone you should use an alias’, ‘you should wear a mask to protect those around you’ etc.?

Really just a fantastic job Lobdell fucking kudos to you.

Anyone who knows me knows I hate Tim Drake but undoing his whole back story and saying he’s not a Robin is fucked I’m so fucking sick of Scott Lobdell’s would be story telling it makes me sick

Not to mention he’s gone and fucked himself with contradictions out the ass


Okay so I wish people would stop hating on DC so much for the reboot and all the changes because I think overall it was what they needed and it’s been really enjoyable and I’m glad its all permanent but as for Tim Drake not having been Robin FUCK YOU SCOTT LOBDELL FUCK YOU ALL THE RETCONS YOU ASHJFNFNGJDNND
